All our kitty friends that we have loss give us great memories but some stand out more than most. Pete was one of those. He was, we believe, a mix of Siberian Forest Cat and a Manx. Averaged around 22 lbs. with lots and lots of layers of fur but no tail. Very loving and laid back attitude until something or someone came into his territory. First time we have ever heard a very deep wild type growl come from any of our cats. Pete was very protective of his territory and never left the property. He had a choice of been indoors or outdoors so depending on the weather, we would either find him on one of the garden chairs where he could survey the backyard or laying completely flat on the bed showing all his rolls of fur. A great mouser, never worried about finding anything critter wise in the house. He would spend hours watching a corner just to make sure. When we sadly lost his fluffy brother Tucker, we both felt it. To cheer Pete up, we introduced a new little orange kitty and Pete took to him instantly and it was so fun watching them roll around. One big fluffy cat being attacked by a little fluffy cat. Pete loving every minute of it. We lost him too soon and even though life goes on, Pete will truly be missed.
